CAMBA - Lives Transformed

Meet Miguel, Eya and Michelle – three New Yorkers who turned to CAMBA when they needed a helping hand. In this brief documentary, hear their stories and find out how CAMBA helped change their lives.

  • Michelle, formerly homeless and addicted to drugs: She is now flourishing in a CAMBA supportive housing residence, learning computers and studying for her GED.
  •

  • Miguel, a Colombian doctor who fled to the U.S. after receiving death threats: CAMBA helped him get the skills and credentials to begin rebuilding his career here.
  •

  • Eya, an immigrant and new mother, living in an abusive home: CAMBA helped Eya move to a safe home, learn parenting skills and help her son overcome developmental problems stemming from his former environment.

Michelle, Miguel and Eya are only three of the 45,000 New Yorkers in need that CAMBA helps every year. You can make a difference by supporting CAMBA’s life-changing programs.
