The Broadway House Women’s Shelter in Bushwick serves 165 women, approximately 37 of whom are mentally ill and chemically addicted. The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to ensure the smooth day-to-day running, coordination and supervision of all program-related staff and services in accordance with all program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and two years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience; and the ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

CAREER ADVISOR, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
In partnership with the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), CAMBA’s Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) provides services to HPD Section 8 recipients. DRIVER/MAINTENANCE WORKER, HASA NY/NY III SCATTERED SITE HOUSING PROGRAM
HASA NY/NY III Scattered Site Housing Program provides 50 units of scattered-site supportive housing to chronically homeless single adults who are persons living HIV/AIDS or are clients with symptomatic HIV who are receiving cash assistance from the City and who suffer from co-existing serious and persistent mental illness, a substance abuse disorder, or a Mentally Ill Chemical Abuse (MICA) disorder. The person filling this position is expected, under close supervision, to (1) operate a variety of company vehicles to transport passengers such as clients, employees, and/or supplies and materials; (2) make repairs, paint, and perform other upkeep functions to maintain the organization's physical facilities, and clients’ apartments; (3) load, unload, and carry furniture and supplies up stairs and move furniture and supplies as needed; (4) clean exterior grounds around building and dumpster; (5) fulfill security and/or courier/messenger or marketing tasks in addition to maintenance tasks; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is sufficient education and technical expertise to comprehend written and oral instructions (work orders); to accomplish maintenance tasks; and to document accomplished tasks; must have a valid New York State driver’s license and an excellent driving history.
LOAN OFFICER, CAMBA SMALL BUSINESS SERVICES
CAMBA Small Business Services (CSBS) promotes economic revitalization by providing services specially tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs in Brooklyn. CSBS offers one-on-one counseling, entrepreneurial training and technical assistance, microloans up to $15,000, and linkages with other business development partners. The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to (1) Underwrite small business loans (2) provide extensive technical assistance to potential and existing entrepreneurs, both in group settings and one-on-one; (3) Market and Promote the Loan Program; and (4) assist adults in eliminating barriers to establishing and maintaining their own businesses and in gaining access to capital; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in business, accounting, or a related field and two years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.
MAINTENANCE WORKER / DRIVER, BROOKLYN CAMBA CLUSTER
The Neighborhood Cluster Program provides comprehensive case management services to homeless families residing in cluster apartments throughout Brooklyn. The program strives to assist families in transition to move into permanent housing and achieve independence and stability in the community. The person filling this position may, under close supervision (1) empty trash, mop, vacuum, clean, wax and/or buff in offices, dorms, halls, and restrooms as needed; (2) make major and minor repairs, paint, and perform various tasks to maintain the organization's physical facilities; (3) load, unload, and carry furniture and supplies up stairs and move furniture and supplies as needed; (4) clean exterior grounds around building sidewalks and dumpster; (5) fulfill courier/messenger or tasks in addition to maintenance tasks; etc. The minimum qualifications for this position are sufficient education and technical expertise; to comprehend written and oral instructions (work orders); to accomplish maintenance tasks; and to document accomplished tasks; must have a valid New York State Driver’s license and the ability to drive a 15 passenger van. Minimum of 3 shifts at least; 1PM-9PM, 11AM-7PM and 9AM-5PM; shift varies according to program needs.
OPERATIONS COORDINATOR, PERMANENT TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM
Permanent/Transitional Housing Program: A combination of permanent and transitional housing is available for 20 HIV/AIDS clients at 12 permanent community-based apartments and a transitional congregate facility for 8 individuals. This program focuses on attaining and sustaining independent living, and its cornerstones include independent living skills training, nutrition, mental health and substance abuse counseling etc. The person filling this position is expected, under close supervision, to ensure that all operational issues and obligations related to obtaining and maintaining program residences are met; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a High school diploma or G.E.D. and two years of applicable experience; or, Associates degree (A. PROJECT COORDINATOR I, NEW YORK CENSUS COMPLETE COUNT
The New York Census Complete Count is a program created to ensure a complete count of all individual in New York City. CAMBA Inc. will deliver Census messages to clients, CAMBA staff and community partners. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to ensure the smooth running and coordination of all project/program-related staff and services on a day-to-day basis, in order to ensure that all project/program goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a monthly/project cycle basis; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A) and/or equivalent experience; must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
PROJECT COORDINATOR I, RESPITE BED PROGRAM
The CAMBA Respite Bed Program provides a network of 64-86 overnight bed capacity to The Gathering Place whose clients are receiving case management, concrete and housing placement services at the Drop-In Center. The Drop-In Center will be responsible for engaging street homeless clients and providing on-site services to achieve the ultimate goal of housing placement. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to (1) assist in the recruiting of respite beds and volunteers to staff program; and (2) lead or coordinate volunteer training in accordance with all program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree (e. g., B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience; the ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Center is open 13-hours-a-day / 7-days-a-week and provides a safe, sanitary, and stable alternative to the street. The person filling this position is expected, under close supervision, to (1) Assist clients in the development of daily independent living skills, including laundry, meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, and maintaining a schedule of activities; (2) maintain inventory of food and dry goods; and (3) provide clients with an orientation of the facility, services and personal care items, upon arrival; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a High school diploma or G.E.D. and/or equivalent experience. A clean driving record preferred.
SECURITY GUARD, ATLANTIC HOUSE MEN'S SHELTER

Each year, more than 2,000 immigrants and refugees from the Caribbean, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa attend CAMBA’s ESL and ABE/GED Prep classes, where they receive educational and case management services to help them cope with life in New York City. Classes are offered both to students who do not know English and to those who want to improve their speaking, reading, writing, math, and test-taking skills. The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to (1) research and develop instructional materials and lesson plans; and, (2) instruct adults in academic and/or nonacademic subjects; etc. The minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and two years of applicable experience. Master's preferred. The ability to effectively teach Reading, Writing, Math, and Test-taking skills to low income and ethnically diverse populations is a must. Candidates with experience in computer-assisted instruction, who are self-starters and highly organized, are preferred. Hours: 5:30 to 8:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.

CAMBA administers school based Beacon community centers at P.S. 269 in East Flatbush and at I.S. 271 in Ocean Hill-Brownsville. Both Beacon Centers are run in partnership with other community organizations to provide education, recreation, cultural activities, health information and screenings, youth leadership and social services to the school's students, their families, and other neighborhood residents. Activities and services are available after school, evenings and on weekends, and reach more than 4,000 people per year. The Gathering Place is a Drop-In Center in Brooklyn serving 75 homeless men and women 18 years and older. The Center is open 13-hours-a-day / 7-days-a-week and provides a safe, sanitary, and stable alternative to the street. The person filling this position is expected, under close supervision, to operate a variety of company vehicles, such as passenger vans and small buses to safely transport passengers such as clients, employees, and/or supplies and materials; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is sufficient education and technical expertise: to comprehend written and oral instructions (work orders); to accomplish tasks; and to document accomplished tasks; must have valid New York State Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A, B, or C with passenger endorsement.
REGISTERED DIETICIAN, LIVING INDEPENDENTLY THROUGH EDUCATION & SUPPORT
CAMBA Operates a Living Independently Through Education and Support (LITES) program that teaches independent living and health skills to program clients in order for them to obtain/retain permanent housing and/or live as independently and as healthy as possible. The Registered Dietician will be expected to under general direction 1) coordinate and facilitated 4 nutritional workshops per month (3) as part of the Independent Livings Skills Development component of the program and one (1) as part of the Food and Nutrition component. 2) Conduct nutritional assessments and dietary plans for 45 LITES’ clients 3) conduct at least two individual counseling sessions for each of the 45 LITES clients 4) Provide information and referrals for 26 of the 45 clients. 5) Record and track all client interactions in client’s case records 6) Meet on a regular basis with the Program Manager for supervision 7) Maintain client’s confidentiality 8)A total of 48 hours a month of services to be provided on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (exact schedule can be negotiated). The minimum qualification for this position is proof of Certification, with at least two years experience providing nutritional services for the HIV/AIDS population.

This commitment is for 7pm-7am 1-4 nights per month. The CAMBA Respite Bed Program provides a network of overnight bed capacity to CAMBA’s Gathering Place, Brooklyn’s only Drop-In Center, whose clients are receiving case management, concrete and housing placement services. The person filling this position is expected, to arrive and set-up according to shelter schedule; ensure that guests wake-up, are served dinner and breakfast (where appropriate), clean-up, and get on the bus on time; provide clients with personal care items; close site according to shelter guidelines; communicate to shelter Coordinator and/or CAMBA staff any questions or concerns; schedule shifts with shelter Coordinator; and maintain client confidentiality and privacy. Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over time.
