Taking Care of Business Workshop


CAMBA's Taking Care of Business Training Program is a 60-hour, 10-week business development training program and is scheduled three times a year for individuals committed to starting or expanding their own business.  Participants develop a comprehensive business plan, receive expert one-on-one consultation for developing a business idea or exisiting business, learn from experienced entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, consultants, lawyers and accountants and network with other entrepreneurs, and find resources to finance and market their business.  Components of the Workshop Series include: Action Plans, Advertising/Public Relations and Promotions, Bookkeeping, Business Idea Development, Business Feasibility, Competitive Analysis, Credit Repair, Financial Statement Analysis and Preparation, Finance, Goal Setting/Problem Solving, Industry Analysis, Intellectual Property Rights, Interpersonal Communication, Legal Structure, Marketing Strategy, Managerial Description Making, Operations Plan, Personal Development, Personnel, Risk Mitigation, Strategy Development, SWOT Analysis, Setting/Problem Solving, Taxes, Cash Flow/Income/Balance Sheets and Target Market Analysis.  Pre-registration is required and there is a seminar cost of $300. Several clients have won business plan competitions and cash grants with the business plans developed in this course.
