Since 2009, CAMBA’s Career Pathways program has focused on unemployed youth ages 18-24 and unemployed parents with children under the age of 18. Combining job readiness training with skills training and job placement, the Career Pathways program offers two vocational training tracks: Security Officer Training and Customer Service and Critical Thinking. With regard to job readiness, CAMBA offers Fast Track curriculum, which equips workers to search for immediate employment, to understand workplace culture and etiquette, to overcome obstacles of past underemployment or long-term unemployment, and to focus on short- and long-term career planning and job retention. Upon completion of training components, participants receive job placement assistance in the security or customer-service fields.
