CAMBA’s Even Start Family Literacy Program was started in 1994 to break the cycle of low literacy and poverty in families. The classes provide Adult Literacy/ESL, Parenting Education, Early Childhood Education, Interactive Learning Experience Activities, and Home-Visiting Services to about 50 parents/guardians and their children from Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean. Families must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
