Located at Erasmus High School in Flatbush, Brooklyn we help overage/under-credited students aged 17-21 graduate.
The program is based on the Primary Person Model wherein each student is supported by a Young Adult Development Advocate who guides them through all aspects of the program. Barriers toward graduation are removed, including those who require flexible scheduling, child care and/or employment. Support Services, which complement classroom instruction, offer opportunities and incentives that do not exist in traditional high school environments.
Young Adult Borough Center currently helps approximately 300 students move towards graduation and the Learning to Work Center helps place 150 students in paid internships.
