Learning to Work at Brooklyn Academy High School

CAMBA has been an active partner at Brooklyn Academy High School since 2003.  Brooklyn Academy is a Transfer School that helps overage/under-credited students move towards a high school diploma.  Barriers toward graduation are moved.  Support services, which complement classroom instruction (provided by the Department of Education), offer opportunities and incentives that do not exist in traditional high school environments.  Brooklyn Academy High School currently serves 200 students and places 100 students in paid internships per year.  The Learning to Work (LTW) programs provide support services, which complement classroom instruction, including individual and group counseling, seminars and workshops and subsidized internships.
