Learning to Work at Liberation Diploma Plus High School

CAMBA has been an active partner since 2007 at Learning to Work (LTW) at Liberation Diploma Plus H.S., which is a Transfer School located in Coney Island, Brooklyn.  The school helps overage/under-credited students move towards a high school diploma.  Barriers toward graduation (college is a focus) are removed.  Support services, which complement classroom instruction (provided by the Department of Education), offer opportunities and incentives that do not exist in traditional high school environments.  The Liberation Diploma Plus High School program currently serves over 180 students and places 90 students in internships.  The Learning to  Work (LTW) programs provide support services, which complement classroom instruction, including individual and group counseling, seminars and workshops and subsidized internships.
