Our Foster Care Prevention Programs help families eliminate or reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect, which often result in children entering the foster care system. Our first priority is always to ensure the safety of children and to break the cycle of abuse and neglect. We conduct strength-based family case conferences that use information about the family’s cultural background, language skills, and resources to stabilize the family and connect them with the right services. Our goal is to strengthen the family by helping them to maintain assets such as employment and support networks. We provide supportive services, including parenting workshops, support groups and treatment programs to overcome barriers that may cause the family additional stress in caring for their children.
