Living Independently through Education & Support

CAMBA’s Living Independently through Education & Support Program started in 2005 and provides independent living skills development through a monthly 20-credit workshop curriculum.  Additionally, the program has a nutritionist on staff that conducts group workshops and individual counseling sessions on nutritional topics and develops independent individual plans.  The program also offers structured socialization/recreational activities and a support group for male clients.  Those eligible must be HIV-positive, at least 18 years old and meet at least one of the following criteria:  (1) in rental arrears, (2) in utility arrears, (3) homeless, (4) living independently for the first time, (5) have poor health or hygiene habits.  LITES Program currently serves 80 clients.
