Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS


Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program, which began in 1998, provides housing for persons living with HIV/AIDS who have a documented history of substance abuse and mental illness. Clients receive case management services from either Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS or Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) staff. Clients also receive monthly financial assistance for utilities. Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS currently serves 40 people annually and 10 collaterally.
