Gathering Place Homeless Drop-in Center

Gathering Place Homeless Drop-in Center started in 2003. Each day the Brooklyn Drop-in Center serves homeless men and women over 18 years of age and older. Open 24-hours a day/7 days a week, the center provides a safe, sanitary, and stable alternative to the street using an individualized and flexible approach to serve the hard to reach homeless population. Services available include three meals a day, shower and laundry facilities, access to clothing, mail and phone services, recreational activities, case management services, entitlements assistances, comprehensive medical and mental healthcare and referrals to treatment resources. The center’s goal is to reconnect clients to treatment services and assist in their transition into a shelter or permanent housing. Gathering Place Homeless Drop-in Center serves 500 men and women annually.
