Brooklyn CAMBA Cluster (BCC) program started in 2007 and is a family homeless shelter program consisting of 20 scattered site apartment buildings located throughout Brooklyn and servicing up to 400 families. CAMBA has two cluster offices located in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn. BCC staff provide ongoing case management, relocation to permanent housing, crisis intervention (emergency food, clothing, psychiatric services, carfare and supportive services) for any BCC family in need. The primary goal is to assist BCC families to become stabilized through securing active benefits, employment and assisting them with searching for permanent housing and securing a better quality of life when returning to the community. CAMBA’s Brooklyn Cluster program placed over 150 homeless families into permanent housing.
