Rockaway Avenue Apartments (RAA) is a supportive housing building where CAMBA provides on-site case management services to eight formerly homeless families where the head of household has a substance abuse disorder, a disabling medical condition and/or HIV/AIDS.
Opened in July 2009, CAMBA provides on-site case management for eight one-, two- or three-bedroom apartments at RAA, a supportive and affordable housing facility located in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. The eight individuals are formerly homeless head-of-household adults who have exited the shelter system. RAA offers a mix of eight one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and 42 two-and three-bedroom apartments developed as a joint venture between the Brooklyn-based developer Dunn Development Corp. and MHANY Management. The facility offers an outdoor courtyard, a play area, a large community room and on-site laundry.
