Rugged Cross Apartments (RCA) is a supportive housing building where CAMBA provides on-site case management services to 27 formerly homeless individuals with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness.
Opened in June 2008, CAMBA provides on-site case management and 24/7 security for 27 studio apartments at the RCA, a supportive and affordable housing facility located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. The 27 individuals are mentally-ill, formerly homeless adults who have exited the shelter system. RCA offers an affordable mix of 27 studio and 23 two-and three-bedroom apartments developed as a joint venture between the Brooklyn-based developer Dunn Development Corp. and Rugged Cross Baptist Church. The facility offers an outdoor courtyard, a play area, a large community room and on-site laundry.
