CAMBA's Immigration Legal Services for Haitians started in 2010 right after the devastating earthquake in Port au Prince. The program provides outreach, legal advice, application assistance and representation to Haitian nationals. Efforts focus on raising awareness and application preparation for Haitian TPS (Temporary Protected Status) as well as other immigration benefits. The program has prepared over 200 applications and will continue to provide application assistance through the end of the TPS period in January 2011. The program continues to provide assistance to Haitians, including visa renewals, deferred action applications, etc.
