CAMBA operates three homeless shelters funded by New York City Department of Homeless Services. Each shelter offers clients a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. Homeless (often mentally-ill and substance-abusing) men and women are provided with comprehensive services to stabilize their condition in order to successfully transition into to permanent and/or supported housing. The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to (1) direct and/or participate in a variety of related programs within the organization; (2) plan, develop, and coordinate services among all of the directed programs; and, (3) interact with funders on a regular basis; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Master’s degree (M.A./M.S.W.) plus ten years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.
ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER (CLINICAL) ATLANTIC HOUSE MEN'S SHELTER
CAMBA’s Atlantic House Men’s Shelter located in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn serves 200 single men at any given time. The majority of these clients are dually diagnosed with mental illness and substance abuse. The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to ensure the smooth day-to-day running, coordination and supervision of all case management staff, clinical services, and Recreation programming and activities in accordance with all program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols; etc. The minimum qualification is a Master's degree (M.A., M.S.W.) and three years of applicable experience.
SUPERVISOR I, PARK SLOPE WOMEN'S SHELTER
PER DIEM POSITION The Park Slope Shelter for Women serves 70 MICA (mentally ill chemical abusing) women at the Park Slope Armory in Brooklyn. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to ensure the smooth running and supervision of all residence-related staff and services on a day-to-day basis, in order to ensure that all residence goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, etc. The minimum qualification for this position is an Associate’s degree (A.A.) and 2 years experience, or Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience.
SUPERVISOR I, RESPITE BED PROGRAM
P/T WEEKEND POSITION SAT-SUN; 1pm-9pm The CAMBA Respite Bed Program provides a network of overnight bed capacity to the Brooklyn Drop-In Center whose clients are receiving case management, concrete and housing placement services at the Drop-In Center. SUPERVISOR II, AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Kids Unite serves 220 students at PS 170, an elementary school serving children from a largely immigrant community in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The program offers homework help, musical instruction, conflict resolution activities, technology classes, activist/environmental education and dramatics. Kids Unite aims to teach children to “think globally, and act locally.” The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to ensure the smooth day-to-day running and supervision of program-related staff and services in accordance with all program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree and two years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.
SUPERVISOR, FLAGSTONE FAMILY CENTER
PER DIEM POSITION Flagstone Family Center provides comprehensive case management services to 60 families who are in a Tier II transitional residence program for homeless families. The facility consists of 3 adjoining 4 story walk up apartment houses with a single entrance to the site. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to ensure the smooth running and supervision of all residence-related staff and services on a day-to-day basis, in order to ensure that all residence goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a daily/weekly/monthly basis; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is an Associate’s degree (A.A.) and 2 years experience, or Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience.
SUPERVISOR, THE GATHERING PLACE
PER DIEM POSITION The Gathering Place Drop-In Center located in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn targets the street homeless by offering them a safe, sanitary facility with services to ease their transition off of the streets. BILINGUAL ENGLISH/SPANISH SPEAKING The Brooklyn CAMBA Cluster Program provides comprehensive case management services to up to 400 homeless families residing in cluster apartments throughout Brooklyn. The program strives to assist families to make the transition into permanent housing and to achieve independence and stability in the community. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to (1) aid individuals and/or families requiring social service assistance; (2) in collaboration with clients, interview and evaluate clients and formulate Independent living plans; and (3) locate and make use of appropriate community resources for clients; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree (e. g., B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience.
CASE MANAGER I, COBRA (CONSOLIDATED OMNIBUS BUDGET RECONCILIATION ACT)
This program provides intensive case management for 175 Medicaid-eligible Brooklyn residents with HIV/AIDS. Utilizing a team of three specially trained staff members to provide case management and comprehensive follow-up emphasizing home visits, services centered around the client and his/her family to improve access to health services, housing and other supportive services and entitlement programs available via State and Federal agencies. The program promotes emotional and financial self-sufficiency. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to (1) aid individuals and/or families requiring social service assistance; (2) interview and evaluate applicants for services, formulate service plans and goals, and aid clients to implement service plans; (3) locate and make use of appropriate community resources for clients; (4) evaluate actual living conditions of clients though home visits; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree (e. g., B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience. Creole, Spanish and French speakers preferred. Experience in HIV/AIDS, housing, substance abuse, legal, child custody/ACS, and benefits/entitlements.
CASE MANAGER I, SCATTERED SITE HOUSING PROGRAM
HASA NY/NY III Scattered Site Housing Program provides 50 units of scattered-site supportive housing to chronically homeless single adults who are persons living HIV/AIDS or are clients with symptomatic HIV who are receiving cash assistance from the City and who suffer from co-existing serious and persistent mental illness, a substance abuse disorder, or a Mentally Ill Chemical Abuse (MICA) disorder. NY/NY III Scattered Site Housing Program Population III: This program provides 61 units of scattered-site supportive housing to single chronically homeless adults (18 or over) who have completed a course of treatment for a substance use disorder and are at risk of street homelessness or sheltered homelessness and who need long-term transitional supportive housing to sustain sobriety and achieve independent living. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to (1) aid individuals and/or families requiring social service assistance; (2) interview and evaluate applicants for services, formulate service plans and goals, and aid clients to implement service plans; (3) locate and make use of appropriate community resources for clients; (4) evaluate actual living conditions of clients through home visits; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree (e. g., B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience.
CASE MANAGER I, SUPPORTIVE COUNSELING AND FAMILY STABILIZATION
Supportive Counseling and Family Stabilization (SCFS) consists of providing Persons Living with HIV/AIDS with clinical and case management services to individuals and their families to stabilize their lives so they can maintain their primary health care and adherence to antiretroviral therapy. CASE MANAGER I, TENANT SUPPORT SERVICES
Tenant Support Services (TSS) is a CAMBA program that provides case management including counseling and referral to essential services to families and individuals receiving Section 8 voucher benefits who are living in approved apartments in Brooklyn. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to (1) aid individuals and/or families requiring social service assistance (i.e.-welfare advocacy, landlord tenant mediation, eviction prevention work when necessary); (2) interview and evaluate applicants for services, formulate service plans and goals, and aid clients to implement service plans; (3) locate and make use of appropriate community resources for clients; etc. The minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field or substantial experience in related area; experience with NYC housing and Public Assistance system necessary; ability to do home visits. CAMBA’s Supported Housing Program will provide 17 units of scattered site housing to individuals with a serious mental illness. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to (1) aid individuals requiring social service assistance; (2) in collaboration with clients interview/ evaluate applicants for services and formulate service plans to include short-term and long-term client goals; (3) assist clients in identifying and locating community resources and make use of appropriate community resources for clients by making referrals to appropriate services both within and outside CAMBA; etc. The minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelor’s degree in SW or mental health and 2 years of experience working in case management or mental health services and/or equivalent experience.

BILINGUAL - ENGLISH/SPANISH SPEAKING Located on site in two HRA Income Support Centers and Job Centers in Brooklyn, CAMBA's Eviction Prevention Unit (EPU) is targeted to 1,500 clients yearly at risk of becoming homeless, whose problems cannot be solved by the general Center staff. The person filling this position is expected, under close supervision, to (1) Serve as a client liaison with outside organizations regarding such matters as education, healthcare, housing, social services, legal issues, etc; and (2) assist clients in attaining their goals by identifying and locating community resources for clients and by making referrals to appropriate services both within and outside CAMBA; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a High school diploma or G.E.D. and/or equivalent experience.
COUNSELOR I, SCATTERED SITE HOUSING PROGRAM
Scattered Site Housing Program (SSHP) is a community-based, independent apartment housing program for HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) clients. Both case management and housing maintenance services are provided. In addition, the Ryan White funding stream provides the recreational and educational components of CAMBA’s 130 unit Scatter Site Housing Program. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to (1) provide individual and/or group counseling to assist individuals and their families to achieve effective personal development and adjustment.; and, (2) counsel clients in dealing with such issues as: behavior, educational progress, family dynamics, mental and physical health, housing, personal finances, substance abuse, mental and/or physical trauma; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.W.) in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field and three years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.
COUNSELOR, VAP-TEEN RELATIONSHIP ABUSE PREVENTION PROGRAM
CAMBA’s Victim Assistance Program (VAP) serves victims of violent crimes, domestic violence, sexual assault and/or those affected by violence. VAP provides clients with assistance in processing Crime Victims Board Compensation Claims; individual and group counseling; support groups, housing assistance, emergency assistance, advocacy, information and referral services; and access to a Brooklyn-based 24-hour (7-day a week) rape crisis counseling hotline. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to (1) provide individual and/or group counseling services to assist participants and their families to achieve healthy relationships, emotional stability, personal development and/or adjustment; and, (2) counsel participants regarding issues such as: abusive behavior, family dynamics, healthy personal choices, substance abuse, mental and physical health/trauma related issues; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) as required by the funding source.
DATABASE DEVELOPER II, MIS (MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS)
Management Information Systems (MIS) Department provides reliable, practical, and cost-effective management information systems support to the CAMBA staff. The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to (1) Design and manage multi-databases (i.e. – ABRA, Payroll, SAGE, etc.) for several agency departments; (2) design and manage multi-database implementation and production, as well as reporting functions; and (3) maintain and optimize SQL server; etc. The minimum qualifications for this position are a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or a related field and 2 years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience; and proficiency with MS Access & SQL Relational Database.
FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER, HEALTHY FAMILIES PROGRAM
BILINGUAL - ENGLISH/CREOLE SPEAKING CAMBA’s Healthy Families Program reaches out to families living in zip code 11226 (Flatbush) to identify and address financial or emotional stress or other family risk factors that may exist at the time of pregnancy and birth. In the case of existing risk to an infant’s health or psychological development, eligible clients have the option of receiving home visiting services. Program services are free and focus on parent/child interaction, effective parent/child bonding, and overall family support. These services may be utilized on a short or long term basis, and are available up to the child’s fifth birthday. The person filling this position is expected, under close supervision, to (1) aid individuals and/or families requiring social service assistance; (2) interview and evaluate applicants for services, formulate service plans and goals, and aid clients to implement service plans; (3) locate and make use of appropriate community resources for participants; (4) evaluate actual living conditions of participants through home visits; etc. The minimum qualification for this position is a High School diploma or GED and 4 years of experience and/or equivalent experience.

JOB DEVELOPER, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
CAMBA’s Workforce Development Program is seeking a Job Developer to aggressively match and market welfare recipients and long-term residents of public and traditional housing. The Job Developer is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with employers; securing job orders; matching the skills of our participants with the proper job openings; making referrals and conducting follow-up with both client and employer; and making between 10-13 placements per month. The successful candidate will have experience working with this population and have a Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience, strong interpersonal, marketing/sales, and communication skills. CAMBA’s Workforce Development Program provides skills training, job readiness, and placement services to qualified clients. By providing occupational training in the following areas: Security, Human Services, and Customer Service, CAMBA seeks to assist individuals in making a transition to gainful employment. We specialize in low-income individuals with barriers to employment. This program is performance-based, and success is measured by meeting placement and retention goals.
LEAD SECURITY GUARD, PARK SLOPE WOMEN'S SHELTER

The person filling this position may, under close supervision (1) empty trash, mop, vacuum, clean, wax and/or buff in offices, dorms, halls, and restrooms as needed; (2) make major and miner repairs, paint, and perform various tasks to maintain the organization's physical facilities; (3) load, unload, and carry furniture and supplies up stairs and move furniture and supplies as needed; (4) clean exterior grounds around building sidewalks and dumpster; (5) fulfill courier/messenger or tasks in addition to maintenance tasks; etc. The minimum qualifications for this position are sufficient education and technical expertise; to comprehend written and oral instructions (work orders); to accomplish maintenance tasks; and to document accomplished tasks; must have a valid New York State Driver’s license and the ability to drive a 15 passenger van. Minimum of 3 shifts at least; 1PM-9PM, 11AM-7PM and 9AM-5PM; shift varies according to program needs.

The CAMBA Respite Bed Program provides a network of 64-86 overnight bed capacity to The Gathering Place whose clients are receiving case management, concrete and housing placement services at the Drop-In Center. CAMBA Operates a Living Independently Through Education and Support (LITES) program that teaches independent living and health skills to program clients in order for them to obtain/retain permanent housing and/or live as independently and as healthy as possible. The Registered Dietician will be expected to under general direction 1) coordinate and facilitated 4 nutritional workshops per month (3) as part of the Independent Livings Skills Development component of the program and one (1) as part of the Food and Nutrition component. 2) Conduct nutritional assessments and dietary plans for 45 LITES’ clients 3) conduct at least two individual counseling sessions for each of the 45 LITES clients 4) Provide information and referrals for 26 of the 45 clients. 5) Record and track all client interactions in client’s case records 6) Meet on a regular basis with the Program Manager for supervision 7) Maintain client’s confidentiality 8)A total of 48 hours a month of services to be provided on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (exact schedule can be negotiated). CHV has been incorporated with the goal of developing 1,000 units of affordable permanent housing for a broad cross section of this community over the next ten years. Specifically CHV offers lower-income individuals and families a comprehensive range of housing and other supportive services. The Anna Gonzalez Apartments is a newly constructed building located in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. The Morris Manor Apartments will provide permanent affordable housing and supportive services for 45 low-income individuals including many with physical and mental disabilities. Rugged Cross is a newly constructed 50 unit supportive housing building located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. Rugged Cross will provide permanent supportive congregate housing for 27 formerly homeless individuals with special needs including Serious and Persistent Mental Illness, Mental Illness/Chemical Addiction, HIV/AIDS and substance abuse disorders. CAMBA will master lease 27 units in this building and provide on-site case management services. INTERN, CAMBA SMALL BUISNESS SERVICES
CAMBA Small Business Services (CSBS) CSBS promotes economic revitalization by providing services specially tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs in Brooklyn. CSBS offers one-on-one counseling, entrepreneurial training and technical assistance, access to low-income grants, microloans, and linkages with other business development partners. In order to achieve the above results, the person filling this position is expected, under close supervision, to assist in (1) providing extensive technical assistance to potential and existing entrepreneurs, both in group settings and one-on-one; and, (2) aiding adults in eliminating barriers to establishing and maintaining their own businesses and in gaining access to capital. The minimum qualification for this position is to be a Current undergraduate or graduate level student.
VOLUNTEER, THE RESPITE BED PROGRAM
This commitment is for 7pm-7am 1-4 nights per month. The CAMBA Respite Bed Program provides a network of overnight bed capacity to CAMBA’s Gathering Place, Brooklyn’s only Drop-In Center, whose clients are receiving case management, concrete and housing placement services. The person filling this position is expected, to arrive and set-up according to shelter schedule; ensure that guests wake-up, are served dinner and breakfast (where appropriate), clean-up, and get on the bus on time; provide clients with personal care items; close site according to shelter guidelines; communicate to shelter Coordinator and/or CAMBA staff any questions or concerns; schedule shifts with shelter Coordinator; and maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
