Summer Youth Employment

For nearly 15 years, CAMBA’s Summer Youth Employment Program has placed Brooklyn youth ages 14 to 21 in minimum wage work experiences. Youth primarily from Flatbush and East Flatbush work for seven weeks during July and August, and placements are made in both public agencies and private non-profits.

Types of work include:

clerical, custodial

teacher’s aides

library assistants

hospital and recreational aides

We distribute applications, conduct intakes, develop jobs and monitor employment. Last summer, over 500 youth were placed in summer jobs.
