CAMBA's Puerto Rican Evacuee Assistance Program is a New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) funded initiative with the goal of providing comprehensive case management services in New York to individuals and families displaced by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. These services will assist evacuees in identifying appropriate and affordable housing options, completing rental applications, obtaining assistance with move-in and furniture costs, and acquiring and connecting individuals and families to other resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to: (1) immediately formulate a plan and prepare clients for permanent housing placement; (2) engage individuals requiring social service assistance; (3) interview and evaluate clients, and formulate goals; and (4) locate and refer to appropriate community resources for clients; including the following:
