Social Activities Intern,

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and organizing recreational activities for supportive housing clients
  • Lead social/recreational activities in house and in the field
  • Assist with the purchasing of light snacks for socialization/recreational groups
  • Develop community events in order to increase participation in programing 
  • Prepare marketing materials to increase client participation and re-engage clients
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate social/peer support events
  • Research free and/or low cost social activities
  • Research donors willing to provide free tickets to events
  • Create and maintain client files and make copies of all client documents.
  • Meet on regular basis for supervision
  • Attend appropriate trainings
  • Maintain client confidentiality
  • Practice Universal Precautions
  • Maintain professional relationship with clients
  • Complete other duties assigned by supervisor.​

Education Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Familiar with multicultural population
  • Strong presentation skills​
