Student Intern, Public Health Program

CAMBA is currently seeking an intern for an exciting HIV prevention program and film project promoting parental and familial acceptance of LGBTQ youth in Brooklyn.



  • Production assistant tasks associated with development of short film promoting family acceptance of LGBTQ youth. Tasks include:
    • Mapping community to identify places TGNC youth of color gather.
    • Scouting for film talent and locations.
    • Assisting with auditions and monitoring casting submissions.
    • On set assistance on shoot days.
    • Administrative support.
  • Networking with agencies that provide services to LGBTQ youth and their parents.
  • Helping to coordinate focus groups.
  • Helping to transcribe interviews for formative project evaluation.
  • Developing social media presence to promote project.
  • Giving feedback on the development of a social marketing campaign.
  • Attendance at relevant trainings and meetings.


  • Knowledge of issues affecting LGBTQ youth of color in Brooklyn
  • Ability to work in a diverse community setting
  • Ability to multitask
  • Commitment of 6-8 hours per week

Students seeking an internship will be supervised by an MPH staff person.
