Human Resources Assistant, Human Resources Department

CAMBA's Human Resources (HR) Department manages all aspects of human resources and administrative functions such as onboarding, employee benefits, compensation, recruitment, interviewing, hiring new staff in accordance with all regulatory policies and requirements, and performance measurement/appraisal.  The Human Resources Department's goals are to enhance employee morale and productivity, limit job turnover, effectively use employee skills/knowledge/abilities, provide training and development opportunities to improve those skills, and increase employees' job satisfaction. 

 

The Human Resources Assistant facilitates and provides professional and/or administrative support to maximize efficiency within the Human Resources Department, primarily supporting CAMBA's HR Talent Management team.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Completes verification of employment by preparing letters and forms as requested by employees/employers.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files and conducts routine audits to ensure compliance.
  • Performs a variety of HR administration tasks including data entry, ordering and tracking supplies, and assists in the preparation for new employee orientation.
  • Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned at any time.


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in HR or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Able to abide by strict ethical standards; maintain integrity, objectivity and confidentiality at all times.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details. ​
