HR Specialist, Human Resources Department

CAMBA's Human Resources (HR) Department manages all aspects of human resources and administrative functions such as onboarding, employee benefits, compensation, recruitment, interviewing, hiring new staff in accordance with all regulatory policies and requirements, and performance measurement/appraisal.  The Human Resources Department's goals are to enhance employee morale and productivity, limit job turnover, effectively use employee skills/knowledge/abilities, provide training and development opportunities to improve those skills, and increase employees' job satisfaction. 

Capabilities: 

The person filling this position is expected to facilitate one or more HR functions to maximize efficiency within the Human Resources Department. They will have top-notch interpersonal skills in which they exhibit tactful, professional, flexible behavior and focus on solving conflict. They will also have excellent planning and organizing skills with the ability and willingness to multi-task and use time efficiently. As well as:

  • Enter data into various modules and automated systems (i.e., enter all newly hired employees and LTW interns into Abra Personnel System, enter new hires into DYCD online database, etc.)
  • Conducts all security clearance tasks for new hires and current staff depending on funder requirements including, DOE, DOH, SEL, SCR, DCJS, and OMH.
  • Provide communication and correspondence around security clearances with appropriate staff and managers as needed.
  • Implements and maintains tracking systems for all security clearances.
  • Performs a variety of HR administrative tasks including assisting employees with various paperwork needs; entering data into a variety of automated systems, preparing reports for both HR and Fiscal department use; assist with filing; assist with audits etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field plus 2 years of experience and/or equivalent experience.
  • Must maintain integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the organization and its human resources policies.
