Position: Director of Talent Acquisition

Reports To:  Vice President of Human Resources

WHAT THE DIRECTOR OF TALENT ACQUISITION DOES  

The Director of Talent Acquisition is part of an 8-person team who, under general direction is expected to: (1) Direct the full-cycle recruitment process for CAMBA including advertising, candidate selection, interviewing, background/reference checking, offer, and onboarding;  (2) Regularly report on and analyze recruitment metrics including turnover, retention, length of time to fill vacancies, and other demographics, with an eye toward improvements and efficiencies; (3) Oversee the agency's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and as the "superuser", is able to troubleshoot issues, run reports, and make recommendations on usage;  (4) Develop and conduct trainings for managers on use of ATS, interviewing skills/best practices, and other recruitment-related activities; (5) Supervise the Talent Acquisition Team; (6) Oversee CAMBA's advertising strategy for all vacant and new employment opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 years of recruitment experience, including 3 years of management experience
  • Proficiency with New York City and State legal requirements around hiring and recruitment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff across an organization; excellent writing skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • MS Office Suite; ATS knowledge (JazzHR preferred)
  • Experience in a not-for-profit environment and/or government agency preferred
  • Commitment to problem solve efficiently, with sufficient attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to manage competing expectations, prioritize effectively and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but also works well under instruction
