Position:  Communications/Graphics Associate

Reports To:  Director of Communications

Location:   1720 Church Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11226

CAMBA seeks a Communications/Graphics Associate who will be responsible for the design of marketing and fundraising materials (online and offline) for the organization as well as supporting signature events as part of the Communications Team in CAMBA's Strategic Partnerships Department. Strategic Partnerships is responsible for individual and institutional fundraising, communications and media, and advocacy.

Responsibilities:

  • The design and production of a variety of publications and creative materials, including brochures, annual reports, newsletters, banners, signage, multi-media presentations, e-blasts, invitations, programs, training materials, retrospectives and other related projects—all in a high-quality and timely manner;
  • Support social media campaigns by creating strong visual content;
  • Work collaboratively with program staff in the completion of their design projects from conception to printing  and/or digital posting;
  • Communicate with vendors, purchasing staff, and other service providers relating to design and fabrication;
  • Adhere to production schedules, budgets, and deadlines;
  • Monitor the consistency and quality of the CAMBA brand and style across the different CAMBA sites and website;
  • Support CAMBA signature events as needed (e.g. as event photographer, A/V support, set up and take down). 3-4 of CAMBA's annual events include evening and weekend support.

Requirements:

  • BA and at least 1 year of applicable and/or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of mass marketing email platforms (Constant Contact, MailChimp and EventBrite)
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS; knowledge of CMS platforms such as Wordpress and Sharepoint​
  • Knowledge and experience in print production, including file preparation for offset and digital printing;
  • Proficiency on IBM computers and servers;
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills, highly organized, and able to work independently;
  • Highly effective at managing multiple deadlines and prioritizing tasks;
  • Creative thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in an open-office setting;
  • Ability to take direction and build productive working relationships.
