CAMBA’sHomeBase Program is seeking a part-time Quality Assurance Specialist to work 3full, 9-5 days per week (21 hours). The person in this position will rotatebetween our 3 Brooklyn and 2 Staten Island offices (located in Flatbush,Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights and near the ferry terminal in St. George) on an asneeded basis.

CAMBA’sHomeBase Program provides case management and essential services to at-riskindividuals and families in Brooklyn and Staten Island to preventhomelessness. Individuals and families receive services that help themovercome problems with public benefits, housing, education, health care andother issues that could impede their ability to maintain stable households.

Keyresponsibilities for this position include:

  • Reviewclient files to ensure quality of data and completeness according to funder andCAMBA requirements
  • Flagfiles for follow-up to alert management staff of areas of files that requireimmediate attention for compliance
  • Contactpreparers of documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data
  • Enterdata from documents into computer
  • Comparedata entered with source documents to detect errors, and correct input ifnecessary
  • Compile,sort, and verify accuracy of data entered
  • Fileor route source documents after entry
  • Respondto inquiries regarding entered data
  • Preparemanagerial and funder reports based on previously approved report templates
  • Designnew report templates to satisfy new or changing management/funder needs

Qualifications sought:

  • At least a HS diploma with one yearor more of equivalent experience
  • A high degree of professionalism andunderstanding of confidentiality
  • Proven excellence in attention todetail as well as written and verbal communication
  • Proficient experience usingMicrosoft Office software and knowledge of databases
  • Interest and ability to adapt tochanging demands and learn on the job, while consistently maintaining highstandards
  • Knowledge of, and experience with,New York City Housing and Public Assistance Systems
  • Reliable, energetic, positive,proactive, team player​
