Families For Kids (FFK) is a preventive foster care program that operates in conjunction with the Beacon Center at P.S. 269. FFK helps families eliminate or reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect – which often results in children entering the foster care system – by identifying and providing those specific services that address those issues placing a youth at risk of foster care placement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The person filling this position is expected to (1) directly supervise at least 3 BA or MA level case planners, family worker, and/or administrative assistants; (2) ensure the smooth day-to-day running and supervision of program-related staff and services in accordance with all program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Master's degree (M.S.W. or C.S.W) in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health or Counseling and 2 years of supervisory experience, as required by Funder. (A license is required of these Master's Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy).
- Must have knowledge of the standard operating procedures of the NYC Administration of Children's Services.
- Must obtain and maintain State Central Registry (SCR) clearance and criminal history clearance through the duration of employment.
