Families For Kids (FFK) is a preventive foster care program that operates in conjunction with the Beacon Center at P.S. 269. FFK helps families eliminate or reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect – which often results in children entering the foster care system – by identifying and providing those specific services that address those issues placing a youth at risk of foster care placement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to (1) directly supervise at least 3 BA or MA level case planners, family worker, and/or administrative assistants; (2) ensure the smooth day-to-day running and supervision of program-related staff and services in accordance with all program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Master's degree (M.S.W. or C.S.W) in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health or Counseling and 2 years of supervisory experience, as required by Funder. (A license is required of these Master's Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy).
Must have knowledge of the standard operating procedures of the NYC Administration of Children's Services.
Must obtain and maintain State Central Registry (SCR) clearance and criminal history clearance through the duration of employment.
