*Program Manager, Highbridge Overlook Supportive Housing Program

Highbridge Overlook, a new supportive housing program provides 155 residential units: including 154 units of rental housing and one superintendent unit in The Bronx.  Of these units, forty apartments are master leased by CAMBA and house homeless single adults who are diagnosed with SPMI (seriously and persistently mentally ill) or MICA (mentally ill and chemically addicted).  The remaining 114 units are occupied by community residents who may also be provided services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all program operations and manage direct reporting program staff and their subordinates
  • Understand all aspects of contract requirements and communicate this understanding to staff
  • Work with direct reporting staff to set and meet performance targets

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Licensed Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience.  (A license is required of these Master's Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/ Guidance Art Therapy).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years' of clinical supervision experience
  • Experience resolving housing issues for clients with mental illness, substance abuse, HIV/ AIDS and other special needs
  • Experience developing and facilitating groups for this population
  • Knowledge of supportive housing services operations
  • Must be fingerprinted and cleared through the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs (Justice System)
  • Must maintain fingerprint clearance throughout the duration of employment
