Analyst (Fund Accounting Sytems), Fiscal Department

CAMBA's Fiscal Department provides fiscal administration including accounting, budgeting, procurement services and procedures for numerous city/state/federal contracts and/or private grants.  In addition, the Fiscal Department recommends alternatives to assure that organization-wide objectives and priorities are met.

The Fiscal Analyst is expected, under general supervision, to analyze and examine financial data. It is the analyst's responsibility to manage and maintain CAMBA's fund accounting system as a system administrator. ​

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  The person filling this position is expected to analyze and examine financial data; including the following:

  • Establish and maintain all accounts, codes, user profiles, vendors, customers and related information, manage electronic file attachments, and maintain system security.
  • Provide technical assistance to fund accounting system users.
  • Assist with the implementation of new fund accounting and budget software systems and provide support in the data conversion.
  • Collect, prepare, and distribute program headcount and rollover data on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain Authorized Purchasers Lists and CAMBA Voucher Log Template for all CAMBA programs by fiscal year.
  • Prepare journal entries as requested.
  • Create customized reports using the fund accounting system for management and funder use.
  • Assist with data entry for reports such as the Organization-Wide Budget and Fringe Benefit Log.​
  • Attend and participate in staff/funder/outside agency meetings and trainings (i.e., new fund accounting and budgeting software systems trainings), as requested.
  • Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports to CAMBA management and/or to funders.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

BA or BS in Accounting/Finance/Public Administration and two years of applicable experience; and/or equivalent experience.
