Supervisor I (Recreation), Park Slope Women's Shelter

The Park Slope Shelter for Women located at the Park Slope Armory in Brooklyn serves 100 MICA women.  The majority of these clients are ​diagnosed with mental illness, some dually with chemical addictions as well.​

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  The person filling this position is expected to ensure the smooth day-to-day running and supervision of recreational program staff and services in accordance with program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols.​

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree and two years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.  Licensed Master's degree in Art Therapy preferred. (A license is required of these Master's Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to become First Aid/CPR certified.

May be required to become certified in overdose prevention.
