Grant Writer (Government Grants), Strategic Partnerships-Development Unit

CAMBA's Office of Development and Communications cultivates relationships with funders, stakeholders, elected officials and community members in order to support CAMBA's growth and high quality programming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and coordinate the government and private grant proposal development process;
  • Identify and research foundation and corporate sources of funding;
  • Write, edit, and proofread funding proposals to obtain funds for general operating support, on-going or new programs and for special projects;
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all aspects of government and foundation proposal development​​​ and budgeting requirements.


Bachelor's degree and 5 years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience. 


  • Demonstrated experience in writing successful proposals, particularly government proposals, in one or more of the following areas: Economic Development, Education and Youth Development, Family Support, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. Experience with school-based and youth development programs a plus.​
  • Ability to analyze and present data in a compelling manner.
