CAMBA’s Community Centers provide structured and flexible educational and enrichment activities for elementary through high school students and their families, six days per week. CAMBA operates three Beacon Community Centers at schools in Flatbush, Ocean Hill/ Brownsville and East New York, which collectively serve 4,400 youth and adults.
Additionally, CAMBA now operates six Cornerstone programs in East New York, Crown Heights and Brownsville, Brooklyn. The Cornerstone programs serve another 1,483 children and adults, providing free after-school programs for elementary and middle school youth, and evening and weekend programs for teens and adults.
Each Community Center provides a unique set of programming to respond to community needs, from parenting and computer skills training for adults, to mentorship programs and health and fitness activities for students, and community events such as Women's History month and back to school programming for the whole family.
