CAMBA’s Family Support programs are designed to leverage each family’s strengths to develop solutions to real problems that create barriers to their self-sufficiency. Families struggle to pay rent and other bills, maintain employment, raise children and cope with often severe emotional and mental health problems. Our services include the following:

  • Family Violence Prevention and Intervention: CAMBA offers a 24/7 victims’ hotline, escort services, crisis counseling, individual and group support and education, advocacy, emergency cash assistance and referrals to other services for victims of violence within the home. Learn more>>
  • Foster Care Prevention: CAMBA’s Foster Care Prevention Services help families with the skills and resources needed to prevent foster care placement and provide them with counseling and assistance to ensure children are developing in a safe environment. Learn more>>
  • Pregnant and Newborn Home Visiting: CAMBA’s home visiting services target new mothers and families with young children who face multiple barriers to raising children in a safe and healthy environment, including limited access to quality health care, jobs, education and social support needed to raise a family. Learn more>>
  • Refugee Resettlement: CAMBA offers assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in NYC who face cultural and linguistic barriers to finding a safe, permanent home and gainful employment. Learn more>>

"The program has been eye‑opening. I’ve learned about things around my home that aren’t safe for my kids — things I had never thought about before.”
