CAMBA’s Foster Care Prevention Services help families with the skills and resources needed to prevent foster care placement and provide them with counseling and assistance to ensure children are developing in a safe environment.
Services include parenting workshops, parent and support groups, assistance with government entitlements, information and referrals for healthcare, and referrals to treatment programs. The programs aim to help parents overcome barriers that may cause the family stress in caring for their children.
Through these services, CAMBA helps to stabilize families and improve outcomes for parents and children by eliminating or reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect, which otherwise can result in children entering the foster care system.
CAMBA is an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. All voice telephone numbers on this document may be reached by persons using TTD/TTY equipment via the New York State relay number 1-800-662-1220.
