Program Summary: The supportive Counseling & Family Stabilization (SCG) program provides supportive counseling and low- threshold case management services to PLWHA and their families. The core services are:

  • Weekly support groups
  • Individual supportive counseling
  • Crisis counseling
  • Grief and loss counseling
  • Family counseling

Weekly support groups are for the following populations: HIV+ women, LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Allies), parents, youth, Spanish- speakers and families.

 
Eligibility: People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) who live in New York City
Clients Served Annually: 80
Referrals Accepted: Yes
 
This program is funded by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene through a contract with Public Health Solutions.
