CAMBA Housing Ventures (CHV) envisions safe, decent and affordable housing for lower-income individuals and families to help them with their long-term economic and social successes. Created in 2005, CHV is now an award-winning affordable, supportive housing developer that pairs excellent design and sustainable, energy-efficient buildings with CAMBA’s life-changing social services to provide safe, healthy homes for low-income and formerly homeless individuals.
CHV’s initial goal was to create 1,000 units of affordable housing by 2015. Currently, CHV has 1,536 affordable housing units completed, under construction or in pre-development, representing $487.5 million in public and private investment.
In 2013, CAMBA/CHV was named Nonprofit of the Year by the New York Housing Conference and the National Housing Conference for advocating for, creating and revitalizing affordable homes and communities.
